Neptunus Vessel Salvage, Off Sanibel Island
Kelly Brothers was contacted to salvage a burned and sunken 58’ vessel located 15 miles off the coast of Sanibel in 30’ of water. KBI’s Coast Guard approved salvage plan included an inspection dive checking for any fuel / oil leaks, which were immediately plugged. The vessel was rigged, raised, dewatered, and hip-towed to KBI’s Fort Myers Beach Industrial Landing and Staging Yard. KBI’s dive team also completed an underwater sweep removing all debris from the sea floor. Once at the landing, the vessel was taken from the water and stored in the staging area pending the necessary inspections. Upon completion of the inspections and receiving the appropriate approvals the vessel was demolished and properly disposed of.
