Naples Pier, Naples, FL
Kelly Brothers was contracted to restore the City of Naples’ 120 year old landmark pier using heavy timber framing and IPE hardwood decking. The renowned pier is 12’ x 1000’ long and has more than 1,800 boards. The pier substructure and decking were pre-fabricated in 30’ sections at our site in Fort Myers, then loaded on our barges and shipped to the construction site in Naples. The demolition and reconstruction work was done using barges and a crane, taking off the old decking in sections and then installing the pre-fabricated sections. Work also included the installation of new electrical and plumbing services along with renovations to the concession area and multiple covered fish cleaning stations. Over one million tourists visit the Naples Pier each year.
