Myakka Bridge FDOT, Sarasota, FL
Kelly Brothers completed this FDOT bridge work in phases. First phase was to build a 2,000’ detour with 1,600’ of Acrow Bridge on 24” pipe piles. Next 300 linear ft. of existing bridge was removed and then 315 linear ft. of new flat slab bridge was constructed. The new bridge consisted of 8,930 linear ft. of pre-stressed 18’ concrete piles; 2,054 cubic yards of concrete, 400,000 lbs. of reinforcement steel, 22,799 sq. ft. of 40’ long PZ-27 permanent coated steel sheet pile with 570 linear ft. of reinforced concrete cap, and 14,548 sq. ft. of 20’ long PZ-27 temporary-critical steel sheet pile.
