Kelly Brothers was contracted by Reefmakers to provide moorage and assistance with the deployment of the 165’ World War II ship USS Mohawk for the creation of the Veterans’ Memorial Reef. The “Mighty Mo” was scuttled from KBI’s Beach Yard to 28 nautical miles off the Coast of Captiva Island and sunk creating the first veterans memorial military ship reef in Lee County.
